Cute and Cozy Reading Nooks (For your Small Space!)

Do you want a Pinterest worthy reading nook, but don’t have the space at home for walls of shelves and vintage sofas? A reading nook or book nook is a comfy place devoted to enjoying your favorite books.

The reality is, not many of us actually have the space, so here are five different reading nooks that you can do if your small space!

1. Books on wheels

I love this idea! A comfy chair and your favorite books nearby. As you can see in the picture, there are some floating shelves above the chair, with some extra books in a little trolley cart. You can find these carts everywhere. They typically run about $30 on Amazon.

2. Bean Bag Chair

This is such a great way to save space! Instead of a big, clunky chair just throw a bean bag chair in the corner or in front of your shelve like this person did. It adds a very cozy, relaxed, vibe to a space.

3. A cramped corner never hurt

If you have too many books to fill a trolley, or a couple floating shelves, you might want to consider a corner or wall of shelves with a comfy chair. If you don’t mind a cluttered corner, this is for you! A few shelves and a comfy chair tucked into a corner or an extra space out of the way.

4. When all else fails

Assuming your space is too tight for a chair and walls of shelving, floating shelves are a great alternative. And for a cozy, easy to reach book nook, there is no place better than above your bed.

5. Use a closet

Have an extra storage closet that you really don’t need? Replacing it with a reading nook is an adorable way to save space!

Do you have a reading nook in your home? Which was your favorite idea?

Thanks a bunch!
