Hello readers! How was your summer? Mine was busy as you all know. I’m not looking forward to the poor weather, but I am really excited for spooky season.
Down here in Nebraska we have two seasons. Summer and Winter. There is no in between. It’s 90 degrees one day and a winter storm warning the next.
Okay, enough talk, lets just get into it.

I read NOTING. Well that’s a lie. I’m currently reading two books that I’m just about done with (wait, didn’t I say that last month? I’m going to have to think of a different excuse…)and I read through my manuscript twice.
Just because I don’t have anything to share with you doesn’t mean I haven’t read anything. I’ve spent the month reading a great book, but I don’t want to say anything until I’ve finished so I can give you my thoughts.
This summer has just been so busy.

21 Jump Street is crime/cop show from the 80s and 90s staring Johnny Depp, Peter DeLuise, Dustin Nguyen, and Holly Robinson Peete. The show follows the cases of an undercover police unit composed of young-looking officers specializing in youth crime. Need I say more?

Jungle Cruise I have been waiting for this movie for so long! I went with a friend to see it. Staring Dwayne(the Rock)Johnson and Emily Blunt, the film is based off the Disneyland ride and follows Dr. Lily Houghton who sets out on an expedition in search for an ancient tree that holds the power to heal. She enlists skipper Frank Wolff to take her down the Amazon.
Review coming next week!

This month was my best writing month this year! I finished draft two and decided to print it out to read over again. I decided third-person POV was not working. I hate writing in first-person but it’s what needs to be done.
With Nanowrimo approaching it’s time to start considering our new projects. I am so excited to begin a new book!! I’ve started outlining a new fantasy project that I hope to write this nano!
What will you be working on this Nano?

I listened to a lot of music last month, but the first three songs that Spotify says I listened to the most was:
- Falling Apart by Michael Schulte
- Everybody wants to rule the world by Cinematic Pop
- Pompeii by Bastille
Is it just me, or is the a great combination?

This month we had 197 views, 34 likes, 24 comments and gained 3 followers. Not bad considering I only posted three posts…
You may have noticed the new makeover! What do you think? Personally I love it! I think it captures the essence of “The Adventures of a Nerd” so much better. I have always favored a pink theme on my blog, but this time I wanted it to be in your face pink.
I think it’s so funny, but my blog doesn’t actually match my style. I’ve love neutrals, vintage, and dark colors, while my blog is very pink and cute. I just can’t see my blog as anything different. I love it.

Two words. Animal Crossing.
I have one Nintendo switch game and that is the legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. I don’t need or want anything else because if I ever want to play anything different I just steel a game from one of my siblings.
My sister has been trying to convince me to get animal crossing for months and I finally gave in. Now, not only do I have two switch games, but I’m also hooked on animal crossing.

What have you been up to this month? What’s on your TBR list this fall?
Thanks a bunch!
