Over the month, I have bought several used books that I’m excited to share with you!
Our local Christian library had their anual sale, and I found some great books at a local thrift store!
Contempary Jane Austen retellings by Debra White Smith
From the library I bought this complete series of contemporary Jane Austen retellings! I love how all the books together make a rainbow!

The way of the brave by Susan May Warren
I was going to check this book out, when I found they had an extra copy on the sale table. This book follows a pararescue jumper and the woman he’s out to rescue as both of them must face up to their past. It’s the first book in a series.

Diamonds in the Dust by Joni Eareckson Tada
I love Joni Eareckson Tada. I saw the eye catching cover out of the corner of my eye and knew ‘diamonds in the dust’ to be her short radio program that we air at work. This is a 366 day devotional.

Around the World in Eighty Days by Jules Verne
Tell me that this cover is not beautiful.

Around the world in 1,000 pictures
Around the world in 1,000 pictures is a book from the 1950s. It’s filled with beautiful photos of different cultures from around the world!

Grace Under Fire by Andrew Carroll
This book is a collection of letters and e-mails from U.S. troops and their families.

Evidence for Christianity by Josh McDowell
I kept seeing this book and I almost didn’t get it because it is massive. It’s historical evidences for the Christian faith, I thought it might be interesting.

The Oath by Frank Peretti
This was another book I was thinking about checking out. This is a Christian horror. I read the first page and I think it sounds really scary. There’s something evil at work in Hyde River. It strikes without warning, taking life in the most chilling and savage fashion. The sheriff says it’s the work of a bear, but Steve Benson and Deputy Tracy Ellis aren’t convinced. They team up to search for the truth.

Goosebumps: Egg Monster from Mars by R.L. Stine
If you know me, you would know that I am a big Goosebumps fan (I am literally wearing a Goosebumps t-shirt as I am writing this). I have decided to buy some of the books and this marks the first of many. This is book #42

Michael Crichton collection
Michael Crichton is now my new favorite author. I was at a thrift store, when I just happened to decide to look at the books. I don’t usually buy books from this thrift store because they don’t have a very good selection.
This is a collection of three Michael Crichton novels. Including: The ‘Andromeda Strain,’ ‘The Terminal man’, and ‘The Great Train Robbery.’
I am most excited to read The Terminal Man. It’s about a man with mental disease. In an effort to cure him, expert implant computer-controlled electrodes into his brain. It seems to work—except for three minutes a day when he is overwhelmed by the urge to kill…

Thanks for reading! I really want to start doing more book hauls, though, that means I will need to make a lot more room on my book shelves…
Thanks a bunch!
