Blogmas Day Nine: Decking the Halls.

So… I didn’t post anything yesterday… or the day before… I was busy and didn’t get around to it. Who ever had the idea to do a daily challenge during the busiest month of the year anyway?

As you have already gathered, this post is about my Christmas Decorations! I began decorating Monday night from like 8:30 to 11 or so, and I quickly found I have little to no Christmas Decorations… I borrowed a few things that my mom wasn’t using and then the rest was just my normal decor. I was going for a very cozy, cluttered look. I have lots of books and tried to fill empty spaces with as much niknaks as possible.

I don’t really know why this is here… lol, every time I say “Empty Spaces” it reminds me of this.

So this is the before. It’s a bit of a mess and I took these pictures late at night so the lighting is terrible.

So the first thing I did (the first thing I always do) was pull down all my books. Then I pulled out my other decor.

I then wanted to fix the lights across my ceiling, which was no easy task.

It was about at this time that I realized I don’t have many Christmas decor. As always, setting out the decorations on the left side of my built-ins is always the easiest and the right side always gives me a hard time, but I was finally able to finish and here his the finished product.

I hung these little bows on the tops of the shelves. I don’t know how much I love them, but I think it’s fun.

I pretty much just kept my same decor just shuffled it around a bit and added some pine cones and branches. I love the way it turned out! And I think my wooden carolers are perfect for Christmas!

Thanks a bunch!
