November Wrap-up

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Time for Santa, and bright lights, presents, hot cocoa and cookies, jingle bells, and Hallmark movies!

Hold on, it’s not quite that time yet. Before we get to all the Christmas stuff, let’s look back at what went on over here at the Adventures of a Nerd this past month.

Reading

What with NaNoWriMo, school, and work, I couldn’t find much time for reading.

I did read this cute little Christmas novella. It’s like a Hallmark Christmas wanna be I found in the library at work. It’s called The Christmas Swap by Melody Carlson. It’s about Emma, an aspiring musician, who takes a Christmas vacation with her friend’s family to their friend’s cabin in Colorado. She meets the handsome owner of the house, West (a song writer), who’s Christmas plans have been interrupted.

I’m sure you can piece together what happens next.

What I’ve been watching

I’ve been watching the Mary Tyler Moore show❤, Heartland and lost in space again, and a few Christmas movies!

Writing

It is the end of NaNoWriMo and I did not win. I’m just kind of tired of my project. It’s not the outline I wanted. I think I will continue to work on it for now, at least until I come up with something else, or until camp nano.

Songs on Repeat

I’ve been listing to set fire to the rain by Adele, The man who can’t be moved from the Script❤, and Jericho by Andrew Ripp.

The blog

This month the blog had 50 views and 13 likes. I posted 7 posts and gained 6 followers.

My most popular post was NaNoWriMo Update

And one you might have missed was Inspiring Hymns: In Christ Alone

Favorite thrift finds

My favorite thrift finds this month was my Mozart and Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping beauty vinyl records.

And this beautiful vintage style blue dress.

Thanks so much for reading and as a heads up I will be doing Blogmas this year!

Thanks a bunch!
