My fictional role models.

There is nothing more inspiring than the wonderful world of fiction. I grew up with more fictional role models than real people. But I think that’s just because there’s more to choose from, and I have always been careful who I admire and put my trust in because I don’t want to be let down or follow a path that wasn’t made for me.

These are just 5 of my fictional role models!

  • Rey — Star Wars

Rey is awesome! I don’t normally care much for strong female roles because I feel like they’re always over-exaggerated, but Rey is different.

There are lots of things I love about Rey but my most favorite thing is her background. She has a villain’s background. Abounded as a child, living on a brutal planet, but she never gave up hope.

That’s what I want. Even when life is throwing everything it’s got, holding on to hope that things will get better.

  • Samwise Gamgee — The Lord of the Rings

Frodo wouldn’t have gotten very far if it wasn’t for Sam. And Sam followed him to what he knew would be the end.

I found something on Pinterest a while back that said “The point of Sam and Frodo is not to look for our Sam but we are to be Sam for others” This has been my goal ever since.

  • Anne Shirly — Anne of Green Gables

I love Anne. I recently just finished Anne of the Island (book 3) and I loved it!!! This is my most favorite book series ever!!!

Anne is one of my fictional role models because she is a lot like me. Seriously, if I had to describe myself in three words or less it would be ‘Anne Shirly’. She’s the kind of woman I hope I grow up to be.

  • Eowyn — The Lord of the Rings

Eowyn is another strong female character who kills the cliche.

She is a kick-butt type of girl but what makes her different is she doesn’t fight to prove girls can do anything or that she’s just as good as any man, she fights because she is able to and she has something worth fighting for.

But the biggest way this character has impacted my life is her fearlessness. I struggled with anxiety when I was younger and Eowyn really inspired me.

  • Luna Lovegood — Harry Potter

Everyone loves Luna.

I admire Luna because I am honestly considered as strange as Luna… I know unbelievable right…

But I am nowhere near as self-confident as Luna. I really want to be! and I am trying to stop caring so much about what people think but easier said than done…

Thanks for reading! I could probably have come up with more if I gave it a minute but these characters are at the top of the list.

Thanks a bunch!
