I’m sure you’ve heard, Pottermore is now the wizarding world. I noticed lots of people on youtube were re-sorting themselves to see if they end up in the same house. I too wanted to test out the new sorting hat but in honor of NaNoWriMo, rather than sort myself, I decided I wanted to know which house the protagonist of my NaNoWriMo project belongs in.
Meet my Character!
Aurora, (yep, I decided to go with the name Aurora, that may change though) is the fiery red-haired teenage protagonist of my fantasy WIP. She is brave, strong-willed and kind-hearted and would do anything for a friend.
My prediction is Gryffindor, her mother was a strong warrior and her father is the leader of her tribe, and she takes on a lot of those qualities.
But, let’s see what the sorting hat has to say!
So I went to the wizarding world website and created an account for my character since it doesn’t let you take the quiz more than once.
There are not a whole lot of changes to the site, and what is different I think looks really nice. Though I will say, I had a heck of a time trying to navigate through there!
Alright, the results are in and my character was sorted into…

Ravenclaw
Well, that was unexpected… although I can see where she fits into that category, I was really hoping for Gryffindor. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a Ravenclaw and I have sooooo much house pride, it’s just not at all what I expected…
Now let’s talk about what I thought about the new site. I was using my laptop so I didn’t experience any of the things people complain about, but I do know the app is a lot more touchy. Overall I like the changes, the sorting is a whole lot shorter than before. Do I think the sorting is accurate? Well, because it’s so much shorter it doesn’t have a lot to work with, but I think it has the potential to be correct. Even the real sorting hat made mistakes!
I hope you enjoyed!
